97. Quarry-edge photo showing a boom derrick, flatcar and assorted small buildings. It’s interesting to note the sloped lines of stone cleavage on the left side of the photo.
99. The box at the right looks to be a dust suction/filter device. Just to the right of the foreground derrick mast is a large channel bar-mounted quarry drill.
100. A really nice detail photo of a derrick base, showing what appears to be a concrete base, the kettle, the bull wheel, the lower mast iron, the lower boom iron with lifting cable sheave, and the boom truss. The photo also shows redirecting sheaves, mounted on their own concrete base, which insured that the turning cable came horizontally into the bull wheel even though the engine house was above the derrick base.
103. Quarry worker leaning against and trying to move a derrick hook. Large channel bar-mounted drill and associate dust remover equipment.
107. Quarry edge-to-bottom view showing water-stained walls and water accumulation on the quarry floor.
108. Somewhat blurred photo showing masonry retaining wall and pole-mounted voltage step-down transformers.
109. Stoneyard view showing loaded flatcar, two derrick engine houses and two storage houses. The pulley in the left foreground may be a derrick redirection sheave.
115. An early photo of twenty-two quarrymen posing for the camera at various levels on quarry shelves.
