The Residential & Commercial Area – As It Appears Today
Our tour of the old McGilvray granite quarry was arranged by Lynn Northrop, who operates the Raymond Museum, and Robert Casaurang, local quarry historian and owner of Prides Hill Inn in Knowles. Today the quarry and surrounding land is owned by Cold Spring Granite of Minnesota. Permission needs to be obtained before visiting this quarry.
